Here are a people who have endured the raft of Hitler and most of Europe. They were targeted all over Europe. people of the world shared their pain. Many countries sent their army to fight and died to prevent further genocide of the Jews. Yes, the world took a while to help but they did come to their rescue.
Since Europe did not want their eyes sore in their region, they decided to relocate the Jews back to their homeland. The British carried out the process of relocating the Jews to Israel very badly. The British had no regard for the current Arab population living in the area. This process led to the current situation we now face between the Israelis and Palestinian.
Like any nation, Israel has the right to depend itself. I believe they are very heavy-handed in the approach of eliminating Hamas. In order to capture, or kill Hamas member many ordinary Palestinians are becoming collateral damage. These are human beings and their life should have the same value as a Jews. We all get upset when a Jews died from rocket or bomb attacked but we should get upset equally when ordinary Palestinian dies in an Israelis assault too. No one life is better them the other.
Jews knows the hurt of inhumane situation. They knew what happen to their people in Europe. they now have the power, so they should be more caring and forgiving. They should realize that not all Palestinians are out to harm them, but are only reacting to the current position. They believe Israel is entrapping them in a box without a way out. They cannot plan for a better future for their children as an Israeli family. When a people do not believe they have any power they will result to violent to try to achieve some sense of power.
The Jews of Europe were powerless and they did not like it. That is the same place the Palestinian find themselves now. They are basic powerless and at the mercy of Israel. I do not think that is what Israel wants because that means they too are always going to have violent in their backyard. I believe Hamas is the cause of most of the violent between the two sides but the Israelis contribute by their continue building of settlements.
If I was advising Israel, I will tell them to find a better of approach to handling Hamas. I will recommend targeting individuals or specific building. I will take a more social approach of making the people of Palestinian feels they have control over their destiny. I willing to bet that most people do not feel they have much to live for in though situation. Israel current approach is leading people to join Hamas even if they do not believe in Hamas ideologies. They belief their survivor is to fight for their homeland.
The Israelis needs to know that the Arabs are not going anywhere and the Arabs need to know that the Jews are not going anywhere either. It will benefit both parties to starts treating each other with respect and kindness. Some form of understanding must exist for there to be peace.
